Ability Foundation organised a conference EquABILITY: “Inclusive Society for Persons with Disabilities” in February 2005. For the very first time, the conference brought together not just disability activists but also front-runners from mainstream society and people with the power to influence societal change. The Conference focused on the process of mutual sensitisation through interaction between the speakers and the delegates. Such sensitisation, the Conference concluded, would go a long way in addressing the issue of total inclusion.
